Hurricane Beryl Strikes Madison County

Residents of Madison County are recovering from the impact of Hurricane Beryl, a Category 1 hurricane that made landfall near Matagorda, Texas, on Monday, July 8. Before the storm hit Madison County, Judge Clark Osborne addressed the community via a Facebook post, urging preparedness yet reminding residents that it could weaken to a tropical storm or depression by the time it reached the county.
