Madison County Sheriff's Office Responds to Welfare Concern, Investigation Underway

Madison County Sheriff's Office, it was confirmed that on Aug. 18, at 4:44 a.m., deputies from the Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare concern call in the 21000 block of OSR in Midway. The call led officers to a residence where they discovered the body of a deceased male.

Normange native Joseph Jones has been named acting Head Coach of the Tarleton State University’s men’s basketball team after head coach Billy Gillispie's ongoing medical issues. Jones has been fulfilling this role since Nov. 19 for the Tarleton Athletics program but has now been announced as acting head coach official on Tuesday, Dec.

Santa Claus paid a special visit to the children at Rita’s Playschool in Madisonville Wednesday, Dec. 20. At first the children were cautious, many of them never having borne witness to the man himself — but once he started speaking, the children quickly warmed up and were mesmerized.
