Community spirit showed during the North Zulch Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Nov. 18. With over 20 participants, the 2023 theme “Home Sweet Homecoming – Candy” was a success. The 2023 Homecoming Parade winners were First Place: 4H, Second Place 9th Grade Class; and Third Place 7th Grade Class.

North Zulch FFA Ag Advocacy and Radio Broadging teams competed in the Area 9 LDE Contest. Results from the event: Ag Advocacy placed 5th; team members include Harper R., Garrett R., and Katie W.

Madisonville FFA LDE Teams showcased their skills at the Area LDE Contests in Onalaska on Friday, Nov. 17.

Madison County Independent School District’s board of trustees recently held their monthly board meeting on Monday, Nov. 13, taking the time to discuss the recent legislative session.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office issued warrants for Donald Megaris and Humberto Avila. Donald Megaris is wanted for one count of property theft, reportedly valued between $750 and $2,500.

Lance West pled guilty to assault on a peace officer and harassment of a public servant on Monday, Nov. 6.

Students from Madisonville High School have earned positions in the High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall.
