MADISONVILLE, TEXAS – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14 The 22nd Annual Texas Mushroom Festival kicked off to some of the most beautiful weather Texas has experienced all year, to the great reprieve of all attending. Among them were those who entered their prized cars in the Auto Showcase this year, taking place in the large parking lot of Prosperity Bank. Sitting under the sun, music by DJ Ray carrying people from car to car. Of those entered, a few stood out to the people attending the festival and the judges themselves. Here are this year’s winners of the 2023 Texas Mushroom Festival Auto Showcase, sponsored by Bray’s Driving Classics.

St. Joseph Health hosted the Health First Fair at the Kimbro Center Tuesday, Oct. 17. Various vendors were on hand to promote healthy living through a variety of services. There were also free health screenings and vaccinations.

On Friday, Nov. 3, the city of Madisonville is hosting its first ever Senior Game Night at the Truman Kimbro Center on the Square. While called Senior Game Night, this event is open to anyone in the community.
