MCISD updates basketball procedures

Madisonville CISD athletic officials have updated practices for attending the school’s junior varsity and varsity basketball games in order to ensure compliance with District 18-4A guidelines. “We have had growing abuse of the online ticket system by some students and former students in the last few games, which are causing some capacity and guideline issues according to district rules,” said MCISD Athletic Director Rusty Nail in a Jan.

Soccer battles in Brenahm

The Madisonville men’s soccer team competed in a tournament in Brenham over the weekend and battled Brenham, Jordan and Cypress Falls. The Mustangs finished the tournament in fourth place. ‘We played very good teams at the tournament, which in the long run will help us out during district play!’ said head coach Balta7ar Reyes. “They are always hustling the entire game and also touching the ball very well, which we were struggling with in our first games of the season!’
