NORTH ZULCH — Community members will gather in Houston May 13 to honor a North Zulch High School senior placed on life support following a single-vehicle crash last week. Chloe McLain, 17, was traveling south on FM 247 near Harper Lane about 4:11 p.m.

Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District athletic facilities hosted 61 outside events this school year, generating more than $81,000 in rental revenue alone, Athletic Director Rusty Nail told trustees Monday. Nail, invited to speak at the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association conference in June, said the approach has helped cover budget gaps without cutting student programs.
