One of the many businesses hit by the tornado that damaged most of the town of Madisonville, Texas, on Monday, March 21, is finally reopening for business on Wednesday, October 26. That business is, of course, Lone Star Cleaners run by owner Matt Newton and his staff; he mentioned that during this process of reopening, gremlins were making the process difficult.

It isn’t all that uncommon to see strange lights in the sky. Still, the following events are some of the most unusual, peculiar, anomalous, and alien in Madisonville, Texas.

The Cow Country Congress is a multi-county, multi-district program hosted this year in Madison County, right outside Madisonville, Texas, at Windy Hill Ranch on Friday, October 21. Texas A&M Agrilife Extension, in conjunction with the Madison County Beef and Forage committee, set up the event to provide educational resources for research-based education for farmers and ranchers, according to Jo Smith, the Houston County Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Agent for Ag and Natural resources.
