In accordance with the City of Madisonville, the NAACP hosted the Tour De Madisonville. The bicycle event last occurred in 2019 and reemerged on Saturday, October 22. The event garnered the attention of 23 bike riders, who came from other counties of Texas to ride in the county limits; also at the event were County Judge Clark Osborne, Mayor Bill Parten, City Manager Fabrice Kabona, and City Council Member Jessie Jaenicke.

A journey that started on Friday, August 5, against Stafford at the Madisonville Tennis Complex has finally reached its epic conclusion. The Madisonville Mustang tennis team (12-2) is now the area champion; as of Friday, October 14, they faced Cameron at 8 a.m.

Early voting in the Nov. 8 general election begins Oct.

During the weekend, the City of Madisonville held the Texas Mushroom Festival on Saturday, October 15. At the Shiitake 5k run, 83-year-old Mary Kaplan showed up with her husband to run in the event.
