First and second graders at Madisonville Elementary participated in their annual Jumpathon in the gymnasium and are raising money for the American Heart Association through sponsors. The race for Madison County District Attorney was on full display at the Truman Kimbro Convention Center in Madisonville Feb. 10 as current D.A. Brian Risinger and challenger Courtney Cain showcased themselves and fielded questions from the audience.

The Madisonville women’s basketball team forced over 30 turnovers in a 68-22 rout over Carthage in thee Bi-District playoff round in Huntington Monday. The win puts the Lady Mustangs in the Area playoffs against Burnet at Rockdale High School in Rockdale at 6 p.m. Friday.
