Madisonville’s defense kept Diboll off the scoreboard in the first and fourth quarters of Friday’s season opener to help the team cruise to a 31-point victory at home to start the season. Outside of a couple big plays, the Lumber jacks struggled to find a consistent rhythm and keep up on the offensive side of the ball.

The Madisonville volleyball team competed in two standalone matchups against Caldwell Aug. 24 and Teague Friday and reached the championship of the silver bracket in a tournament in Anderson over the weekend.

The following persons were arrested or booked into the Madison County jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Criminal District Attorney Brian Risinger reports that on Friday, Aug. 30, 2021, the Grand Jury met to review 21 cases present for their consideration. The Grand Jury returned 21 true bills or indictments.
