The Texas Mushroom Festival returns Saturday, Oct. 18, bringing thousands of visitors to downtown Madisonville for the 24th annual celebration of the town’s mushroom industry.

The Madisonville Mustangs volleyball team defeated Center 3-0 on the road Friday, Oct. 3, to stay undefeated in district play.

The Madisonville football team (3-2, 0-0) returns to the gridiron Friday to host La Grange (3-2, 0-0), their first 4A District 11 matchup of the season. The Mustangs were on bye last week in preparation for district play following a thrilling 21-14 win over Center on Homecoming Sept.
