A Toyota Camry covered in colorful messages and artwork made its way through Madison County on Tuesday as Darshan Patel, a cultural ambassador on a mission, stopped in Madisonville. Patel, who serves as CEO of WorldMiTR, has been traveling for four years to promote health, happiness, peace, and unity.

Madison County 4-H members will receive special recognition when the Madison County Commissioners Court issues a proclamation for National 4-H Week on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

DENTON — Texas Woman’s University’s Center for Women Entrepreneurs will award $50,000 in grants to women- owned businesses. The center will give 10 grants of $5,000 each through its StartHER program, now in its seventh year.

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce issued a warning this week after members received emails from someone claiming to sell the chamber’s member database for $1,296. The fraudulent email, signed by someone identifying themselves as “Tessa” from “Marketing Coordinator,” offers what it claims is a list of 4,763 verified contacts from the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, including company names, contact information, LinkedIn profiles, and email addresses.
