Our wonderful Bedias Museum & Library is looking to offer a monthly showing of Christian movies on the third Thursday evening of each month, our first offering will be Thursday, April 21. Musings of springtime

This is a surprise Musings. It’s time, for one, but I had written something completely different. You’ll see that one in two weeks. After I finished, it didn’t seem timely, so I decided to focus on the season for now. I searched “spring” as a season in both volumes of local history and came up with the following. Dear Editor, To all the land owners that are impacted by the proposed bullet train, be aware that Texas Central Partners is the straw front for the Japanese government for the biggest foreign country land grab in history. Texas Central Partners owe back real estate taxes in every county from Dallas to Harris, which to date is all 10 counties that they own land, water, minerals and anything that is below the surface.

Wildfire risk remains high in much of state

Much of the state remains at considerable risk for wildfires through this week, largely because of higher-than-usual temperatures and drought conditions. More than 40% of the state is suffering extreme drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Nearly the entire state is in some form of drought, with much of the Panhandle, High Plains and west central Texas most at risk.

OOPS! What do you get when you cross spring picture day, a green screen background and St. Patrick’s Day? Completely memorable elementary school photos, of course! At Sugar Grove Elementary School in Center Grove, Indiana, picture day happened to fall on St.
