Madisonville travels to Teague in week three Friday for their first road matchup of the season against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. Lion Stadium is located at 420 Loop 255 in Teague, Texas. Madisonville’s diverse backfield kept the Diboll Lumberjacks’ defense on their heels throughout the duration of Friday’s 51-20 victory at Mustang Stadium to open the season. All told, Mustang backs totaled 421 yards, 176 of which came courtesy of quarterback Jeramiah Burns, and five rushing touchdowns.

The Madisonville volleyball team competed against teams throughout the area over the weekend during an annual tournament at Leon High School. The Lady Mustangs saw matchups against Beckville, Palestine, Onalaska, Snook, Brazos Christian, Franklin (twice) and Teague.
