Good Morning My husband is currently being housed at the Ferguson unit. Ferguson went on annual lockdown around May 2nd.

As a member of the Madison County community, I feel that it is necessary to let you know about things going on with the Son-Shine Outreach Center. As you may know, on March 21, 2022, a tornado hit our community.

We’ve all had a lot of questions regarding the proposed “PID” or “Public Improvement District”...aka “New Subdivision”. I would like to thank the City of Madisonville for hosting last week’s townhall meeting. There were a lot of good questions, a few answers and, in my opinion, a lot of scripted “sales pitch” responses. I’ve come to expect that from slick politicians and I can’t blame the developers for playing the same game. With that being said, I feel that there are several issues that weren’t answered to everyone’s satisfaction.

Dear Editor, There has been a lot of interest, some guessing and a bit of speculation about the Villages of Greystone, our planned subdivision southwest of the intersection of I-45 and 21/190. We don’t all have to agree but as good neighbors we need to use facts.

Dear Editor, By now, you may have heard about Madisonville’s proposed “PID”. I’ve been asked a lot of questions recently and I decided to do my own version of a “Frequently Asked Questions”.

Dear Editor, I have known Courtney Cain since she was a young girl, and I can say without a doubt that she would make an excellent District Attorney for the people of Madison County. She has the experience, work ethic and passion to lead the District Attorney’s Office.

Dear Editor, It is my pleasure and honor to join my close friend and colleague Don Sowell the Grimes County Sheriff in endorsing Mrs. Courtney Cain for the office of District Attorney here in Madison County.

Dear Editor, I am writing in support of Courtney Smith Cain’s candidacy for Madison County District Attorney. I have had the privilege of seeing Courtney grow up here in Madison County and I believe she is an exceptional candidate for this position.

Dear Editor, As the elected District Attorney of Grimes County and as a prosecutor with 26 years of experience, it has been a distinct pleasure and privilege to enthusiastically endorse Courtney Smith Cain for the office of District Attorney. Courtney is an outstanding trial lawyer with impeccable ethics and absolutely fearless as an advocate for justice.

Hey Madison County, congratulations on our massive County, congratulations on our massive Special Election participation and turnout this past Election Day! Historically, we generate only 300-500 voters on these off-cycle, no-candidate ballots. But not on our just-completed election.
