Mustangs Fall to Gatesville in Bi-District Playoff

The Madisonville football team concluded their season Friday with a 45-28 loss to the Gatesville Hornets in the Bi-District round of the State Playoffs at Rockdale High School. The Mustangs overcame a 10-point deficit to take a second half lead, but Gatesville posted 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to advance to Area.
Mustangs Reflects on 2024 Campaign

The Madisonville football team’s loss Friday meant the end of the road for 18 senior players who have competed in the program since middle school. During the group’s tenure at the high school level, the Mustangs won 27 games and qualified for the State Playoffs in all four years.
