Mustang Seniors Shine in District Finale

The Madisonville football team (6-4, 4-1) sent their many seniors out strong in Friday’s decisive 49-7 victory over Giddings to conclude district play at Mustang Stadium. The Mustangs finish second in district and will meet Gatesville in the Bi-District round of the playoffs, who defeated Connally Friday to earn third place in District 12.

After securing wins in four-of-five district matchups, the Madisonville football team begins their playoff push Friday with a Bi-District bout against the Gatesville Hornets (5-5, 2-3). The neutral-site matchup will take place at Rockdale ISD’s Tiger Stadium Friday at 7 p.m.
