The Mid-East Texas Groundwater Conservation District has budgeted funds available to assist landowners with the cost associated with plugging abandoned or deteriorated water wells. Under this program, the district may provide up to $500 reimbursement for wells plugged after September 1, 2023.

Kindon, who joined the office in September 2016, has left a profound void in the hearts of the community he served, causing many departments within the county to take off work on Tuesday, May 14, to attend his funeral services, which started at 10 a.m.
