NORTH ZULCH, TX — The North Zulch Lady Bulldogs volleyball team has been battling it out on the court this season with mixed results. As of their most recent game, they hold an overall record of 8-16 and a district record of 0-1.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) recently received two donated patrol units from the Sam Houston State University Police Department. MCSO Patrol Sergeants as well as two MCSP Deputies are Sam Houston State University alumni. September is known as National Preparedness Month, a grassroots campaign that is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Each month has a different theme designed to encourage individuals and communities to prepare now and thus remove the surprise when problems arise.

The Son-Shine Outreach Center, a vital resource for the community, has issued an urgent appeal for essential items. A recent Facebook post on the Sonshine Center page revealed that the pantry is currently depleted of critical supplies, including deodorant, shampoo, toilet paper, body soap, and feminine napkins, after serving over 700 clients in August.
