Scotty’s House, the Child Advocacy Center serving The Brazos Valley, gathered members of the community to read the names of 18 children who were reported as abused in Madison County. They wereread aloud on Monday, April 10, at the Madison County Courthouse and each name represented a real child who had experienced an unthinkable trauma.

On Saturday, April 1, 2023, the Madisonville Cemetery Association held its Annual Membership Meeting. This year, the meeting was held under the new Cemetery Chapel, the most recent addition to the cemetery facilities. Some of the items discussed at the annual business meeting included approval of the minutes of the previous year’s meeting and the Association’s financial report.
