Special to the Meteor The Captain John McAdams Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolutionary of Madisonville, Texas will join with more than 3,000 other DAR Chapters across the nation and abroad to celebrate the foundation of America by honoring Constitution Week, which will take place from September 17-19, 2022. The Captain John McAdams Chapter, for this week, will be giving out bookmarks with the preamble of the constitution on them to remember the sacrifice the Founding Fathers made in bringing this great document into existence.

richard.sirman@madisonvillemeteor.com Christian “Chris” Rasor Connor, 1850-1916, was a Texas Ranger who received a memorial cross dedication on Monday, September 12, at the Madisonville Cemetery in Madisonville, Texas. The Former Texas Rangers Association sponsored the dedication, and it was Steven Brown, one of the greatgrandsons of Connor, who wanted the dedication to take place in honor of Connor and his late father.

Starting the game with a bang, Ty Williams passed to Jer’mal Holland from the 13-yard line for a touchdown; Alexander Torres, PAT would be good, leading the Mustangs 0-7.
