Madisonville Intermediate School celebrated their Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Friday by welcoming members of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madisonville Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and the Houston Police Department. Voters asked to ensure registration and practices

AUSTIN — Texas Secretary of State John Scott is encouraging all eligible Texas voters planning to vote in the March 1 Primary Election to make sure they are registered to vote by January 31st. Additionally, Secretary Scott is providing guidance to Texas voters on how to plan to cast their ballots during the Early Voting period that begins February 14th.

County announces temporary road closure

Madison County’s Emergency Management’s Office announced Monday that the county will replace a bridge on Strawther Road, which will result in limited access for travelers and residents over the next several weeks. With this temporary closure, Strawther Road will not be accessible as a through street during this time. The Emergency Management’s Office stated that they are excited for this project to result in a new bridge.
