BVIPC calls for driving safety

COLLEGE STATION – Traffic safety educators, like those with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s Brazos Valley Injury Prevention Coalition & Statewide Initiatives (BVIPC), consistently make it their mission to save lives across the state through their commitment to preventing risks for Texas motorists, both drivers and passengers. Because of increased numbers of impaired driving-related fatalities and injuries in the last year, the BVIPC Team is putting a spotlight on education statewide to help reverse these trends - and they are asking all Texans to join in their efforts.

Jones Immortalized

Normangee Panthers basketball legend Joseph Jones was honored by the high school and had his number 30 jersey retired in the presence of family and friends Friday. Jones led the Panthers to a Class 1A State Championship in 2004 before joining the Texas A&M Aggies, where he earned All-Big 12 honors in each of his four seasons.
