BEDIAS — The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a 15-year-old girl missing since Saturday night in the Bedias area. Emma George was last seen about 8 p.m.
Children played pumpkin ring toss and other games during the North Zulch PTO Fall Festival Oct. 31 at North Zulch Elementary School. The event featured carnival games, food, a silent auction and a costume contest. Admission was free with carnival game tickets sold for $1 each. Proceeds from the festival support teachers, students and scholarships.
The Mustangs will conclude their 2025 regular season schedule Friday with a road matchup against the Giddings Buffaloes (2-7, 0-4). A win would secure a third place finish in 4A District 11 ahead of the Bi-District round of the State Playoffs Nov. 13-15.
The Madisonville football team (5-4, 2-2) dropped an intense, 48-45 shootout to the top-ranked Bellville Brahmas (7-2, 4-0) on Senior Night Friday, their 2025 finale at Mustang Stadium. “I am super proud of the kids for battling back in a heck of a ball game,” said head coach Russell Urbantke after the game.
