The Madisonville City Council voted Monday, Aug. 11 to maintain the property tax rate at 69.39 cents per $100 valuation for the fifth consecutive year while approving water rate increases of up to 9% to address infrastructure needs.

The following persons were arrested or booked into the Madison County jail on Sunday, August. 3. through Sunday, August. 10. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
