Andrew Cole, a Madisonville FFA student, has been awarded an $8,000 scholarship by the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. “The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo is always thrilled to award these scholarships in fulfillment of its mission to support the education of Texas youth in agriculture,” said FWSSR President Brad Barnes.

Ernest Petri Jr. lived a life marked by dedication to family, land, livestock and God. The beloved rancher and community fixture died July 30 at age 82, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, integrity and simple pleasures.

The following persons were arrested or booked into the Madison County jail on Sunday, July 28 through Sunday, Aug. 4.
