Funeral services for Mrs. Betty J. Dishongh, 87, of Madisonville, Texas will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Jerry Allen Cole will officiate the service. Tim Dishongh will present the music for the service. Interment will follow in Greenbriar Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place Saturday morning prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

JIMMY KEITH KETCHUM

Jimmy Keith Ketchum, 76, of Madisonville, Texas passed away on May 1, 2022 in Madisonville, Texas. Jimmy was born to Robert Homer and Anna Laura (Tarpley) Ketchum on July 28, 1945 in Harris County, Texas and was raised in Elwood, Texas. Jimmy worked for fifty-two years hauling fuel to farmers and ranchers in Madison County, as well as surrounding counties. He retired in 2019. Jimmy loved spending time with his family and treated his customers like family, as well. He loved being in Elwood with his cattle and tending to his garden. Jimmy also loved to go bird hunting, as well as deer hunting and was very involved in the local community, including the county fair and serving as a Master Mason for Madisonville Masonic Lodge #740.

ARTHUR MONROE HENSON

Arthur Monroe Henson, born in Hog Creek Bottom, Milam County, Texas on November 18, 1928 to Archie L. and Myrtle A. Henson, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 9, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Barbara Ann Clark Henson, three children: Fred A. Henson (wife, Elizabeth), Jeanne Marie (Henson) Thames (husband, Buddy) and David C. Henson (wife, Darlene). They also have six grandchildren: Paula Jeanne (Thames) Russell (husband Billy), Paul Damon Thames (wife Marcie), Stefanie Erin Maslowski (husband Nick), Rebecca Carol Moutray (husband Chris), Rachel Ann Henson, and Justin McClain Henson (wife D’Lynn). His legacy lives on in 10 great-grandchildren: Zane, Jace and Blake Russell, Micah, Claire and Paul Henson Thames, Erin & Kaylee McKinney, Jacob Hull and Hardy McClain Henson. He is also survived by two sisters, Edith Lucille Hull and Peggy Ann Hamilton.

She was born April 17, 1933 in Kosse, Texas to Henry & Florence Edna (Williams) Gideon and was a devoted wife and homemaker her entire life. Grace had enjoyed the hobbies of painting and quilting.

Lucille Barbara Scholz was born July 23, 1921 in Round Rock, Texas to Joseph Marion & Mary (Swonke) Kreitz. She had worked for Hughes Tool Company during WWII. Lucille was devoted to her church, teaching religious education and participating as a choir member and in the altar society.

CAROLYN DALE DAVIS

Carolyn Dale Davis, 89, passed peacefully on January 5, 2022, with family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Frank Cornell Davis, children Edward Davis and wife Ginny, Carol Ingram and husband Steve, and daughter Kerri Davis, six grandchildren and 13 great grand children. She enjoyed a lifelong passion of playing the piano, which included her school years, giving lessons, and later playing for churches. She was a member of the Iola Missionary Baptist Church.

His graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 22 at West End Cemetery - 400 South M.L.K, Madisonville, TX 77864.
