Mr. Richard William Byrd, Sr.

Wanneice (Thomas) Price was born April 30, 1953, to Billie Thomas and Betty Jo Green-Burnham in Dumas, Texas. She went to school and graduated from Springwoods High School after which she attended Sam Houston State University.

Paul David Covington; 79 years, 2 months, 16 days; from Bedias, TX; passed away on Thursday; March 24, 2022 in Bryan, TX. Graveside services were scheduled for 1 p.m. on Monday; March 28, 2022 at Bedias Baptist Cemetery in Bedias, TX. Bro. Nathan Hoke officiated. The visitation was scheduled for Monday; March 28, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville, TX.

Mildred Elane Taylor Powell passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2022 with her loving husband of 70 years, Gerald, at her side and surrounded by family. Mildred was born in the Grimes County community of Bedias, Texas; the first-born child of Ruby Bracewell and Tom Terrell Taylor. She was born at her Grandmother Mary Bracewell’s home on February 24, 1928. It was the height of the depression and life was hard, but both the Taylor and Bracewell families had strong roots in Grimes County, so Mildred grew up surrounded and loved by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins. The family added two brothers for Mildred along the way, Joe and Travis.

George D. Miles, Jr., 83, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away March 23, 2022. He was born to George and Mildred Maltby Miles June 26, 1938 in Jacksonville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Beth.

Matthew Earl Williams was born January 21, 1962 in Madison County to Authur and Lula Mae Williams. He attended Marian Anderson School and graduated class of 1981. He was a man of many jobs including Coral Cafe and Westmoreland Bailbonds. He enjoyed fishing, sports, and spending time with friends and family.

Robert Earl Nealey, a beloved son, husband, father, brother, neighbor, church member, and friend passed away on February 15, 2022. Services celebrating his life were held at Tanyard United Methodist Church, Midway, Texas, Pastor Cecil McDowell officiating, on February 26, 2022, with the burial following at Tanyard Cemetery, Midway Texas.
