Zettye (McWhorter) Ferguson, 81 of Madisonville, TX; passed away on Friday; November 19, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday; November 21, 2021 at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville, TX with the burial following at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Madisonville, TX. Bro. Dean Ferguson officiated. A visitation was held prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m.

Joseph Michael “Joey” Murders, age 39 of Burnet, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 5, 2021 in a vehicular accident while working as a commercial truck driver to support his young family. Joey was born in Huntsville, Texas and raised by his loving parents Jerry and Debbie Murders.

Homegoing services for Deacon James H. Smith, Sr., 74, of Madisonville, Texas were held 1 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Madisonville Christian Fellowship Church, Madisonville, Texas. Interment followed in Hopewell Cemetery outside of Midway, Texas.

Reba Jack is the mother of Milton E. (Sandy) Keefer, Thomas Jack Keefer, Bobby W. Keefer (deceased) and Pennie Sue Keefer. Her parents were Andrew Jack Batson and Jimmie Earl (Adams) Batson of Normangee.

Jimmy (Jim) Dean Harrell, 78, of Midway, TX, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 8:56 pm in Bryan, TX. He was born in Houston, TX, on October 3, 1943, to John and Katie Harrell and was the youngest of four children. Jim graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston, TX, in 1962. That same year, he met the love of his life, Rebecca Reynolds, at Elwood Baptist Church while playing the piano. He never believed the most beautiful woman in the world would have him, but he still got up the courage to ask her out and, to his surprise, she said, “Yes.” They married after she graduated, June 9, 1963.
