Carolyn Sue (Ward) Miller; 61; of Madisonville, TX; passed away on Tuesday; September 14, 2021 in Bryan, TX. Graveside services were scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday; September 25, 2021 at Winn Cemetery in Marquez, TX. Charlie Miller officiated.

Janet Parten, 75, passed away September 22, 2021 in Bryan, Texas following an extended illness. Her funeral service was held 2 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2021 at First United Methodist Church, Madisonville, Texas. Pastor of the church, Rev. Jim Jackson, officiated the service, and interment followed in Madisonville Cemetery.

Mintie Geen Parrott was born May 26, 1939, in Artesia Wells, Texas. She passed away peacefully at her home in Jacksonville, Texas on September 16, 2021.

Ruth Annette (Lang) Thomas; 86 of Iola, TX; passed away on Saturday; September 18, 2021 at her home. Funeral services were scheduled for 10 a.m.

Billy Edwin Truster, 90, of Midway, TX passed through the gate to his heavenly home on September 17, 2021. He was born in rural Parsons, Labette County, Kansas on November 12, 1930, the son of May Lucille Mullinax and Frederick Joseph Truster, Jr. He was raised around Parsons, Kansas and attended Kansas State University with civil engineering curriculum working as an engineering assistant to the City Manager. He ultimately became a Registered Land Surveyor in Missouri and spent many years farming in Missouri and ranching in Texas.

Dolly Davis, 85 years old, was born on January 30th, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA. Dolly married Burnie Davis on April 22nd, 1954 in San Francisco, CA. Dolly attended a very renowned Private Academy in Oregon.

Smantha (Luttrell) Oliver; 69 years, 5 months, 3 weeks, and 5 days; of Normangee, TX; passed away on Tuesday; September 7, 2021, at her home in Normangee, TX. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday; October 2, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Flynn, TX. with Bro. Dwain Pollard officiating.

Funeral services for Nelda Isbell, 63, were held 2 p.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Iola Missionary Baptist Church, Iola, Texas. Rev. Tim Owens officiated the service. Interment followed in Concord Cemetery near Iola, Texas. Nelda Dian Isbell was born July 17, 1958 in Navasota, Texas to Arvol Beason & Betty Lois (Burk) Isbell. She was raised in Grimes County and lived in Houston for a number of years until her retirement. Nelda moved back to Iola in 2004 where she built a new home and enjoyed her retirement gardening, fishing, working with cattle and being outdoors. Nelda especially loved dancing. She passed away September 5, 2021 at her home in Iola. Nelda was preceded in death by both of her parents. Surviving family members include daughter, Vanessa Neal (John) of Houston; brother, Larry Isbell (Stacy) of Iola; sisters, Jean Herrera of Iola and Dixie Bollin (Dwight) of Iola; and grandchildren, Daniel & Ethan Neal.

Marvin Phil Hudson, 61, of Willis, TX, passed away on Saturday, September, 11, 2021 in Conroe, TX. The visitation was held on Saturday; September 18, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville, TX and the funeral service followed at 11 a.m. Ed Lee will officiate with additional speakers Obed Pineda and Chip Horton. The burial will follow at Greer Cemetery in Madisonville, TX.

A funeral mass for Dora Gauna, 65, of Madisonville will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Madisonville, Texas. Fr. Guillermo Gabriel-Maisonet will officiate the service. Interment will be in Madisonville Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, September 24th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
