Early voting underway for November election

CAPITAL HIGHLIGHTS Early voting began Monday across Texas with voters deciding the fate of 17 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution, as well as local races for city and school board, bond measures and tax proposals. The Houston Chronicle reported many of the propositions intend to lower property taxes for homeowners and businesses.

Grigory and Murphy, Heroes

Madison County Museum’s current exhibit is focused on locals who served or are serving in our military. In organizing it, I found a yellowed newspaper clipping which I quote next: “M/Sgt. Lawrence M. Grigory, 39, was one of the 13 members of the U.S. Air Force who was killed Saturday when two American tanker planes crashed over Normandy. The two U.S.A.F. KB29 aerial tanker planes collided in mid-air near St. Lo, France. Five of the crew members were injured and one was still missing at last reports.

Welcome to Fall! By the time you’re reading this, we will be closing out the first quarter of school and welcoming a full slate of exciting October events. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing community turnout at our recent family engagement events! Goodies with Grandparents was a huge success, with a record number of guests in attendance.

Aliens Part 3: Political Turmoil and Resistance

While the President’s enforcement of the law was legal, there were bands of extremely Liberal- Minded Legislators who began flocking to the cities to meet with the Illegal Aliens. These Human leeches were seeking media time to garner votes. They began informing the Illegal Aliens that they were more than welcome here and everything they could possibly want would be given to them. They didn’t need to even be concerned about obeying the immigration laws. Sadly, it seemed that the majority of the City Humans (who were Liberals) believed the rhetoric too. They came out in droves in support of the Illegal Aliens.
