Getting dirty wool clean

Body
My wife’s family had been in the sheep and goat business for several generations and her dad even had a world champion ram at one time. They raised fine Rambouillet sheep which have very fine wool for making beautiful clothing among other things. The sheep were imported from France in the 1800s. They are strong, produce well, raising lambs that are very good to eat. They grow and produce wool but there can be a problem. A grease (lanolin) is on the wool. To rub up against them or handle them you get the grease (lanolin) on you and it is very hard to get off. So how do they make that dirty greasy wool clean and white? By soaking the wool in hot water and soap can make it come out clean free of the grease and dirt. The result is snow white wool. Thinking about wool reminds me of something in the Bible. First it says we are dirty before God because of sin, and we all have sinned, (Romans 3:23, Isaiah 53:5&6). Unless something is done about our sins we will never be allowed to dwell with God, (John 8:24, Acts 3:19). The only way our sins can be forgiven is by trusting in Jesus Christ and by what He did on the cross, (John 1:29, Isaiah 1:18). Only then can we have fellowship with God, (John 1:12,5:24, Revelation 3:20).

Bedias Civic Club and Bedias Library Offer Fun Activities this Week

Body
The Bedias community had a serious wildfire outbreak last week, July 19. At least one home was lost along with much of the possessions for a Bedias family. We must be very aware of the present fire danger and diligently watch out for our neighbors. As a side note, one of the responding volunteer fire departments had to stop on the way to suppress a carelessly started grass fire before even getting to the Bedias fire.

GALA NETTLES

Body
Right here in the middle of a heat wave I read an article on cold weather and electric cars and I want to share some thoughts. Now they may save the world one day but right now I don’t think they will work for the Nettles clan.
