Cody Dewane Satksy, 41, who is known around the North Zulch area, was wanted last week by the Madison County Sheriff's Office, Texas Parole Division, and the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office for charges including a parole violation for drug possession, aggravated robbery, evading, and failing to identify.

Lalo’s Mexican Grill opens up to the Madisonville public for the restaurant's soft opening. The spot of the new restaurant was once hosted by another named Rancho Viejo, but on Friday, April 1, Lalo’s announced that they would open in Madisonville.

To the Citizens of Madison County, I would just like to take a few minutes to tell you all how honored, and humbled, I am regarding my recent appointment to serve as your interim Madison County Judge. I’ll admit that this has been an emotional week…but it has also been bittersweet.

The Bedias community had a serious wildfire outbreak last Tuesday, July 19. At least one home was lost along with much of the possessions for a Bedias family. We must be very aware of the present fire danger and diligently watch out for our neighbors. As a side note, one of the responding volunteer fire departments had to stop on the way to suppress a carelessly started grass fire before even getting to the Bedias fire.
