16-year-old Madisonville native, Luke Coleman, roped his way to success at the International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR), the richest youth rodeo in history. “Riding horses is in my blood,” said Luke when asked how long he has been involved in the rodeo world. Luke’s father, David Coleman, was very successful in the cutting industry, and luckily, his passion was passed down to his son.

and learning so many things. My writing is being put to the test, and I am so excited. Agriculture plays a huge role in all the lives of our community, and I am looking forward to how I can incorporate that into this paper. I will be attending all agricultural-related events that I can and digging into stories that I feel need to be heard. Hi, my name is Lyndie Dunn. I was recently hired by The Madisonville Meteor as the Agricultural writer and Office Assistant. Currently, I am attending Sam Houston State University pursuing my bachelors in Agricultural Communications. I was born and raised in Madisonville and hold so much love for this town and everyone in it. I graduated from Madisonville High School in 2019 and went on to Western Texas College on a rodeo scholarship, graduating in 2021 with my associate degree.
