Deputies seize 14 dogs in North Zulch animal cruelty case

Madison County deputies wore HazMat suits July 20 to carry 14 dogs out of the North Zulch residence, according to the Sheriff's Office. Jayne Elizabeth Taylor was arrested on a felony charge of cruelty to a non-livestock animal.

Fallen leaves have many benefits to our ecosystem when left alone but can also become a wildfire hazard if they remain in the wrong places.

Postal Service Closed Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2

This year, Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on Sunday, when Post Office locations nationwide are already closed. As a result, all Post Offices will be closed for the observation of both federal holidays on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, and Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.

Annual Christmas Meeting of the Madison County Retired Teachers

At First Baptist Church in Madisonville, Texas, the Madison County Retired Teachers Personnel of District VI held their annual Christmas meeting at noon at the Madisonville First Baptist Church on Thursday, December 1. According to Lorraine Coleman, one of the organization's co-presidents, was founded in 1972, and at the event were teachers of other counties surrounding Madison County; it was also stated that the combined years of teaching of all the teachers at the event were 1,948.

Head-On Collison causes Two deaths on Highway 21

At 1:30 p.m on Monday, December 5, a 2015 Freightliner 18-wheeler and a 2014 Nissan pickup were traveling east on Highway 21, near Shepard Creek Estates Road, between Farm to Market 2865 and Highway 39, west of North Zulch. At the same time, a 2012 Buick SUV was traveling west.
