Madison County Criminal District Attorney Brian Risinger and his office announced 43 returned indictments for the month of November. The individuals listed below have been charged with violations of the Texas law in indictments returned by the Grand Jury.

The following persons were arrested or booked into the Madison County jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

BEAUMONT, Texas – The first taste of cool weather is always welcomed in southeast Texas following the stifling heat of summer. With winter fast approaching and news of higher natural gas prices, customers may be wondering the effect of winter temperatures on their energy bill.

AUSTIN – There is a lot to be thankful for this year, and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) wants to ensure people are able to get to and from their holiday celebrations safely. Texas Highway Patrol Troopers will increase enforcement on the roads from Wednesday, Nov. 24, through Sunday, Nov. 28. DPS Troopers will be looking for people not wearing seat belts, driving while intoxicated, speeding and failing to follow the Move Over, Slow Down law, among other traffic violations.

The Madisonville men’s and women’s basketball teams are off to the races and have started their seasons on high notes in 2021. The men’s team opened their new campaign with a pair of victories over Hempstead Nov. 16 and Fairfield Friday while the Lady Mustangs won seven of their first eight matchups, including an impressive showing at a weekend tournament in Crockett, entering Tuesday’s matchup at Lovelady.
