It’s always really exciting when a package comes from the mail carrier containing brand new books. As readers, we love a shiny new book and cracking it open to get a whiff of that good ol’ new book smell. Our patrons also can’t wait to get their hands on a new title or to discover a new author, eagerly anticipating their next read.

We will have lots of activities to see our local youth exhibiting their crafts, art, food and livestock at all our shows. We will crown the 2021 MCFA Fair Queen at our opening ceremonies and will host the Henson Brand CPRA Rodeo by Hat Brand Rodeo Company which will have many exciting events.

Rockin’ Rebel Roost Daycare in Madisonville held their annual fundraiser to benefit the facility Friday with a tasty twist on their traditional efforts. This year’s venture featured treats for sale from Hurts Donut Company out of Houston with a percentage of the proceeds benefited the daycare.

The following persons were arrested or booked into the Madison County jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
