The Madison County Commissioner’s Court approved contingency funds to purchase 10 new body cameras for the Sheriff’s Office’s deputies during their bi-weekly meeting Monday. The department’s 10 deputies have already been wearing body cameras but will now receive upgraded versions from Safety Vision to enhance their function.

Jerry Harper, former Madisonville High School Athletic Director, head football coach and Madisonville City Councilman, passed away in the early hours of Monday morning. He was 83.

Estimated costs to individual property owners will be made available as the process advances with direct mailings of all pertinent information and releases to each DH landowner as the project develops.
