Soccer to compete in Bi-District

The Madisonville soccer team earned a slot in the postseason with a fourth place district finish and will battle Kilgore in the Bi-District playoffs in Huntsville Thursday at 6:30 p.m. “We are just going to have to come out and play some good soccer, be mistake free and leave everything on the field,” said head coach Baltazar Reyes regarding the Bi-District matchup.

NZ FCCLA raises safety awareness

North Zulch Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) held their Shattered Dreams presentations on campus March 9-10 to showcase awareness for potential dangers on the roadways. The activities began March 9 with an extremely realistic accident presentation, which included all of the necessary place of a mother during a personal injury trial and Brazos Valley Injury Prevention Coalition presented stats for Madison and Leon counties.

Two women rob local salon

Body
Two women were seen on camera robbing the cash register at Fancy Nails, a salon located on Main Street in Madisonville, Friday evening while the employees were busy working. According to Tudie Vu, the store’s owner, the by Vu on Facebook Sunday. The 24-second clip clearly shows one of the individuals shield the other using one of the store’s menu displays, allowing her to remove cash and checks from behind the counter. All told, they took $369 in cash and $68 in checks.
