Madisonville SPED students (clockwise) Curtis Ledbetter, Christian Wilson, Hanna Shadle and Shawndrick Ross participated in Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley's Summer Earn and Learn (SEAL) Program, which is aimed at Youth Vocational Rehabilitation Participants and was created as part of the organization's commitment to build a support system for students with disabilities. The four spent five weeks working at area businesses, including Walker Co.

Garrett Johnson will be in a different position this football season. The Madisonville High School graduate will be a student assistant coach for Texas Lutheran University.

Members of Madisonville FFA attended the 93rd Texas FFA Convention from July 5-9 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Despite certain COVID-19 related protocols, it was largely a return to normalcy for the event, which was held virtually in 2020 due to the pandemic.
