The Madison County Girl Scouts Troop no. 9504 visited KMVL radio station in Madisonville Friday, Jan. 5. They were featured on the radio and talked about their upcoming cookie sales. Cookie sales begin Jan. 17.

Madison County District Attorney’s Office first Angel Tree program was successful with Celia Guerreo, Lisa Long and Ashley Penaloza helping lead the charge and wrapping presents. DA Investigators Steve Jeter and Aaron Campbell helped deliver the gifts.

To help better serve the community, Midway Volunteer Fire Department purchased a LUCAS Device, an automated compression device that allows you to do consistent and high-quality CPR compressions. High quality CPR compressions are imperative for good survival outcomes. Members of Midway VFD received training on the LUCAS Monday, Dec. 11. 

Madisonville CISD named the Students of the Month for December. On Friday, Dec. 15, Texas Internal Pipe Coating donated to the toy drive for MCSO Operation Blue Santa. Madison County Sheriff’s Office formed Operation Blue Santa in Madison County to help families in need. 

City of Midway Staff held the Midway Open House Thursday, Dec. 14. Pictured are Midway City Council, Grant Works, Prairie View A&M, Prairie View A&M Extension Agents and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. 

The annual Pathway of Light celebration occurred on Friday, Dec. 8, through Sunday, Dec. 10; this yearly event walks attendees down a path through the First Baptist Church grounds as they explore the life of Jesus Christ.
