Jessie is a German shepherd that lives in Madison County, and her boy is a regular reporter who reports on the simple things of life for the Madisonville Meteor: his name is Russell, and he is ten years old.

On Friday, June 16th, Midway kicked off its Summer Reading program with 20 kids from Midway showing up to help get things going! There were books given to all the kids, cookie decorating, story time and some crafting as well. AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today celebrated new law enforcement graduates who answered the call to serve and protect their fellow Texans at the Texas Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Recruit Class C-2022 Graduation Ceremony in Austin. During his keynote address, the Governor congratulated the 60 graduate troopers on completing the rigorous 29-week training program and highlighted DPS’ critical role in protecting Texans across the state.

On Thursday, May 4th, the churches of Madison County gathered in front of the Madison County Courthouse to hold the National Day of Prayer annual event on the first Thursday in May. It is a day for people of all faiths to come together and pray for their communities, country, and the world.
