In celebration of Senior Citizen Day on August 21, Madisonville Care Center hosted a Sundaes for Seniors event with the help of Crystal Wardlow-Kelley and Acara Hospice, treating local seniors to ice cream and fellowship.

North Zulch Volunteer Fire Department members and children from the community watch as members washed Engine 2 during a workday on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the station. The department cleaned Rescue 1 and Engine 2 in preparation for a training event. 

First Baptist Church hosted the MCISD Luncheon Tuesday, August 17, in the FLC of the church. The 300+ district staff, teachers and school employees were treated to a taco lunch and gift card giveaway.

Madisonville High School band students cool off with snow cones from Kona Ice on Tuesday, Aug. 12, during the final day of summer band camp at the school. The Band Boosters provided the frozen treats as part of the day's celebrations, which also included a senior breakfast.

Madisonville Police Department promotes Sgt. Brittney Mahler from Patrol Sergeant to Patrol Lieu tenant Tuesday, July 29; and Officer John Gnemi was promoted to Patrol Sergeant.

Madisonville High School seniors paint designs on their assigned parking spaces Monday, July 28, in the school parking lot. Students gathered July 28 and 29 to personalize their parking spaces for the upcoming school year, continuing an annual tradition that allows seniors to showcase their creativity and school spirit before classes begin.

First Baptist Church Madisonville brought Vacation Bible School to Madisonville Care Center July 15. Residents enjoyed a morning of fellowship and painting birdhouses with the children. 

Madisonville Care Center residents and staff celebrated National Ice Cream Sandwich Day on Saturday, Aug. 2 with a sweet treat.
