This project, made possible through funding from the Texas Farm Bureau and Madison County Farm Bureau, has been a year-long effort involving students from multiple classes and campuses.

SUMMER READING KICK-OFF

Madison County Library hosted a week of creativity and fun with age-specific pro grams for young learners. K–2nd graders explored their artistic talents on Tuesday, 3rd–5th graders on Wednesday, and babies through Pre-K children enjoyed Story time on Thursday. Activities included painting tiny art canvases for the library’s Tiny Art Show, learning about colors through themed stories, and watercolor painting.

PASSPORT TO ADVENTURE

Children and adults gathered at Midway City Hall on Friday, May 30, for the first day of the summer reading program, "Passport to Adventure." Prairie View A&M University represen tative Ty Jordan read to the students, including two who were legally blind. The program welcomes all children regardless of their disabilities. Participants keep journals at the City Hall to record their weekly activities and learning experiences throughout the summer.
