The city of Midway voted for better looking water, as well as other improvements to their water treatment system, in awarding construction bids during a regular city council meeting Monday. Contracts were awarded to Duplichain Contractors and Johnson Lab and Supply, Inc.

The City of Madisonville will return to their normal tradition of hosting an Independence Day celebration at Lake Madison Park July 4, which will take place Sunday from 4 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.. The annual celebration did not take place on July 4 in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but was instead held two months later on Labor Day.
