The Madisonville Sidewalk Cattlemen’s Association, a longstanding nonprofit organization that raises money for scholarships for local children, is gearing up for its 82nd annual Steak Dinner on Saturday, May 6.

North Zulch Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Chapter has succeeded remarkably at the recently concluded FCCLA Region 4 Leadership Conference in Galveston, Texas. Out of the nine STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events participated in by North Zulch FCCLA, eight events have advanced to the State Leadership Conference, which is scheduled to be held in Dallas from March 31st to April 2nd.

The Madisonville Varsity Mustangs displayed a commanding performance on Friday. April 7, as they easily defeated Palestine with a final score of 10-2.

The newly formed Trinity River Squirrel Hunter’s Association held its first-ever squirrel dog competition in Midway, on Saturday, March 25; the club, which is registered with the National Kennel Club Association, saw approximately 30 people in attendance, eager to showcase their skilled squirrel dogs.
