MHS theater students advance to Bi-District

Body
MHS UIL One Act Play cast held the last community performance of The Boys Next Door on Thursday night. The team advanced to Bi-District this year. In addition, five members will be graduating this year. Delaney Callaham, Morgan Castro, Robert Webber, Cole Fiore, and Wilfredo Mayorga. Delaney Callaham, Robert Webber, Cole Fiore, and Wilfredo Mayorga have been in theatre throughout junior high and high school. There will be a student-directed community performance, Alice in Wonderland, which will be junior high and high school theatre students combined before the end of the school year. It will be directed by Wilfredo Mayorga, who plans to continue theatre in college.

Ground-breaking for Normangee State Bank in Madisonville

Last year, Normangee State Bank announced that they would be opening a bank in Madisonville. On Thursday, March 23, officials from the bank and the City made the official ground-breaking ceremony at the property at 208 Collard St. Normangee State Bank has been locally owned since 1967 after four businessmen purchased it; Percy Westmoreland, Mac L. Bennett Jr, Royce Shaw, and Doyle Reed.

MIDWAY VFD STEAK DINNER DRAWS BIG CROWD

On February 25th, the MIDWAY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT held their 31st Annual 'PO BOY' Steak Dinner & Dance fundraiser. The annual event kicked off at 4:30pm and continued through the evening with approximately threehundred twenty-five 24oz T-bone steaks being served. LIVE music was provided by Logan Beard. Miss Teen Madison County Zailey Crocker greeted attendees and volunteered throughout the evening.
